We are happy to continue the hands-on project-based series in 2024. See below for the March offering. Each registrant will receive a certificate of attendance upon completion of the individual workshop. If you attend a total of 5 unique workshops (10 hours), you can submit a request for a PDP certificate.
Most workshops will be offered twice a month – once on a Saturday morning and once on a Thursday evening. The content for Saturday and Thursday will be the same.
Expand your fiber arts repertoire with the introduction of t-shirt yarn. Donated old, clean t-shirts are an excellent material to upcycle into “yarn” that can be used for weaving and other fiber art projects.
In this two-hour hands-on workshop learn how to process the t-shirt to get the most yarn for your art making needs. Next, use your new t-shirt yarn to make some woven and finger-knitted creations. Students as young as four can successfully create with this versatile material.
A supply list will be provided prior to the workshop.
In this hands-on workshop you will learn how to:
- Source t-shirt yarn.
- Finger knit with t-shirt yarn.
- Weave with t-shirt yarn.
A supply list link is provided upon registration. A zoom link will be provided via email prior to the workshop.
