Executive Committee Positions – Jan 1, 2021 – Dec 31, 2022
The MAEA Executive Committee positions of Secretary and Treasurer are open for a two-year appointment, starting January 1, 2021. Interested members, as well as eligible incumbents should submit a letter of intent, resume/CV, short biography (250 word), and head shot for the election to Jaimee Taborda at secretary@massarted.com by October 1, 2020. Elections for Secretary and Treasurer will open October 15 through October 31 and will be held electronically.

Board of Directors and Committee Chairs Positions – Jan 1, 2021 – Dec 31, 2022

MAEA Board positions open for 2 year appointment include:

  • Elementary Division Director
  • Middle Level Division Director
  • Secondary Division Director
  • Museum Education Division Director
  • Higher Education Division Director
  • Supervision/Administration Division Director
  • Preservice Division Director
  • Conference Committee Chair
  • Youth Art Month Committee Chair
  • Awards Committee Chair
  • PD Committee Chair

Interested members, as well as eligible incumbents, are encouraged to apply. To apply, please submit a letter of intent and an updated resume/CV via email to secretary@massarted.com no later than November 1, 2020. The Executive Committee will meet to review the materials and notify all parties in November. Terms start January 1, 2021.

General Information

Board positions are two year terms, unless otherwise noted. Please see the schedule below for each position. Interested members, as well as eligible incumbents are encouraged to apply in October of each year.

For more information regarding elections and appointments please see Article V, Section 1 and 2 of the Massachusetts Art Education Association Constitution.

Elections for President-Elect and appointments for Special Interest Representatives, and Exhibitions Committee Chair, Publications Editor, Webmaster, and Liaisons will happen in the fall of odd number years.

Elections for Treasurer and Secretary and appointments for Division Directors, Conference, Youth Art Month, Awards and Student Recognition Committee Chairs will happen in the fall of even number years.
