Jordan Ricciardi, Sanborn Elementary, Andover Public Schools, Andover

 

Jordan Ricciardi is a leader, innovator, and an advocate for arts education. She is dedicated to nurturing open minds, empathetic hearts, and creative spirits and it is evident in both her teaching philosophy and tangible accomplishments.

As an active member of the MAEA since 2010, Jordan attends annual conferences, takes advantage of professional development opportunities, and her mixed-media self-portrait was featured in the Clearly Defined Exhibition.

Beyond MAEA, Jordan has demonstrated leadership in various capacities. She presented at the DESE Conference on Arts Integration, received the Essex Heritage Pioneers in Partnerships Award, and contributed to the Innovation committee through Detroit’s Design Thinking Workshop at the Henry Ford Learning Institute. Her dedication extends to professional development, where she led sessions on arts integration for Boston Public Schools and actively participated in various curriculum initiatives. A collaborative unit she designed titled, “We are One” was recently published in a Place-Based Education book in the Czech Republic. Jordan has secured Teaching Innovation Fund grants multiple times for visiting artists and classroom libraries, emphasizing her commitment to enhancing art education. Her art exhibitions, publications, and collaborative projects showcase her dedication to fostering creativity, self-expression, and holistic growth.
