2017 Arts|Learning Lynn S. Feldman Visual Arts Award

MAEA would like to congratulate June Krinsky-Rudder on receiving the prestigious 2017 Arts|Learning “Lynn S. Feldman Visual Arts Award.”

From Arts|Learning: This Champion of Arts Education Advocacy Award recognize arts educators for: (1) demonstrated leadership in advocating for a specific arts discipline and overall arts education; (2) superior teaching in one of the four disciplines of dance, music, theatre, or visual arts; (3) creation of model arts programs and partnerships; (4) use of Massachusetts Arts Curriculum Framework and National Standards for Arts Education; (5) use of arts and cultural resources; and (6) support of opportunities for multicultural learning and interdisciplinary planning. On behalf of all of us at Arts|Learning, we applaud June’s efforts in providing, supporting, and advocating for quality arts education. Such efforts have a lasting impact on the quality of life throughout our commonwealth and nation.

The Worcester Center for Crafts is currently beaming with pride as ArtsWorcester recently announced that our Executive Director Honee Hess will be receiving the 33rd ArtsWorcester Award, given to “an individual who has made extraordinary contributions to arts and culture in the city.” Honee and her incredible passion, dedication, and hard work will be celebrated at their annual meeting, Friday, September 12 at 6 p.m.. A reception and the opening of ArtsWorcester fall exhibits will follow.
