Huge congrats to MAEA Members Alice Gentili and Jaimee Taborda who were honored at the National Art Education Association National Convention in Boston last month!
Alice was awarded the 2019 National Middle Division Art Educator and Jaimee was honored at the Eastern Region Awards Ceremony for being the 2019 MAEA Art Educator of the Year.

The MAEA Awards Committee is currently accepting proposals from artists to design and create eleven art awards to be awarded to our 2019 MAEA award winners at the MAEA awards program at the NAEA National Convention in Boston. The stipend for this work is $550. Learn more.

MAEA would like to congratulate June Krinsky-Rudder on receiving the prestigious 2017 Arts|Learning “Lynn S. Feldman Visual Arts Award.”
From Arts|Learning: This Champion of Arts Education Advocacy Award recognize arts educators for: (1) demonstrated leadership in advocating for a specific arts discipline and overall arts education; (2) superior teaching in one of the four disciplines of dance, music, theatre, or visual arts; (3) creation of model arts programs and partnerships; (4) use of Massachusetts Arts Curriculum Framework and National Standards for Arts Education; (5) use of arts and cultural resources; and (6) support of opportunities for multicultural learning and interdisciplinary planning. On behalf of all of us at Arts|Learning, we applaud June’s efforts in providing, supporting, and advocating for quality arts education.
