EDUCATOR WORKSHOP FROM THE MFA – November 4
Writing the Future: A Closer Look
Join Liz Munsell, Lorraine and Alan Bressler Curator of Contemporary Art, on Wednesday, November 4, for the first in a free series of educator workshops connecting teachers with interactive explorations and facilitated discussions on  “Writing the Future: Basquiat and the Hip-Hop Generation.” Munsell will contextualize the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat in relation to hip hop and the work of his peers, including Rammellzee, Fab 5 Freddy, Lady Pink, and Lee Quiñones.
Teaching with the MFA Collection – Let Us Help You Find Art
Describe your topic or unit of instruction and an experienced volunteer MFA educator will reply with suggestions of works of art and resources for your lessons.

Share-a-thon – Focus on Feedback Strategies – November 17 and 19

Similar to the DESE share-a-thons in September, this is an opportunity for teachers of all grade levels and subject areas to learn and share strategies, resources, and best practices for remote/hybrid instruction with a particular focus on student feedback strategies.

Facilitators will start by taking a glimpse into the classrooms of two featured teachers in different content areas.  This will be followed by a chance to break out and discuss those ideas shared and more. Finally, everyone will have a chance to join with content-alike colleagues for a broader discussion of feedback strategies within our disciplines.

You are encouraged to come ready to share your resources and strategies for giving student feedback!

REGISTER HERE – Please register by Monday, November 16.
