Italy/Sicily Program 2013

homesplash

Experience and live Italy's "la dolce vita" by participating in this exciting program with stops in Rome, Pompeii, Paestum and Messina. While there, students visit and study masterworks of art and architecture by visiting museums, important churches, monuments and archeological sites. Students attend classes, take field trips and interact with students at the University of Messina and the people of Italy in daily exchanges that provide them with an understanding into their way of life, culture, customs and their rich history. Time to reflect and explore is provided so that each student can partake of the culinary and visual delights of life in the eternal city that is Rome and the sun-drenched and enchanted island of "la bella Sicilia". The program provides students a choice of three 3-credit courses from which they will choose to enroll in two of these three courses. The courses offered this year are Art History, History and Painting. Course descriptions are posted below the faculty section. See the full itinerary, for more visit www.mediterraneanstudies.net
