Summer Immersive Workshops in Beverly, MA

Week long and 3-day weekend intensive courses run from June 1 through July 1, 2018 at Montserrat College of Art in coastal Beverly, MA. From painting and sculpture to video and animation, our diverse Summer Immersives are designed to allow participants time and instruction to explore new avenues of creative inquiry. Hiring Full Time Manager of STEAM and Arts Integration

The mission of United South End Settlements (USES) is to harness the power of our diverse community to disrupt the cycle of poverty for children and their families. USES believes families have the best chance to reach their potential when they have long-term, holistic support. At USES, our focus is on helping caregivers and families with children under 12, although our door is open to children and adults from diverse family settings.

Reporting to the Vice President of Programs, the Manager of STEAM and Arts Integration is responsible for operation and management of STEAM integration for all youth programs, including: Early Childhood Education, club48-After School and Summer/Vacation, and Camp Hale. The Manager of STEAM and Arts Integration will oversee the development and implementation of STEAM curriculum and daily planning, training for staff, recruitment of partnerships to further STEAM goals, and assist in the communication and engagement of parents around STEAM. The position will work closely with youth program staff to ensure seamless integration of STEAM into those programs and progress toward common goals, including an emphasis on the arts as a tool for approaching and accessing STEAM and social emotional learning.

GEEO Travel Programs for Educators

Founded in 2007, Global Exploration for Educators Organization (GEEO) is a 501c3 non-profit organization that has sent over 1300 teachers abroad on adventurous travel programs. With GEEO educators can earn professional development credits while seeing the world. GEEO's trips are 7 to 21 days in length and are designed and discounted to be interesting and affordable for teachers. In addition to amazing tour leaders, many of the programs are accompanied by university faculty that are experts on the destination. GEEO also provides teachers educational materials and the structure to help them bring their experiences into the classroom. The trips are open to all nationalities of K-12 and university educators, administrators, retired educators, as well as educators’ guests.

Art Instructors Needed for Summer Youth Classes

Fitchburg Art Museum is looking for creative, experienced art instructors for its summer youth classes program for ages 5 - 17. Classes run Mondays-Thursdays, mornings and afternoons, for the weeks of July 18 - 21, July 25 - 28, and August 1 - 4.

Candidates must have expertise in one or several of the following media: painting, drawing, comics, illustration, collage, printmaking, and/or sculpture, and be able to use the Museum’s collections as part of lessons. Experience with STEAM curriculum and/or ability to speak Spanish is a plus. BA with teaching experience required, MA preferred. Preference will be given to those who can teach mornings and afternoons in the same week. Seeking Instructors for Children’s Art Centre Vacation Arts Program in beautiful South End
The United South End Settlements’ Children’s Art Centre provides arts opportunities that foster community interaction, self-expression, and development of skills in the arts through hands-on arts education. Over the years, USES has brought fine arts and cultural enrichment to our community regardless of race, ethnic background, or ability to pay.

The Vacation Arts Program is a full day, arts-based program for children ages 4.5 – 12. We are seeking instructors with experience planning and leading arts activities, and with a passion for community arts engagement. The program will run February 16 – 19 and April 19 – 22 during Boston Public School vacation weeks, and from June 27 – September 2 through the summer.

Maine Arts Camp is looking for a couple of art teachers for the upcoming summer. We are a small, creative camp community of 75-100 campers and 25-30 staff. Some areas of expertise that would fit our needs would be in ceramics, stained glass, printmaking and 2-D arts.
